Tuesday, 20 March 2018. The first Adder of the year is always a thrill. On closer inspection, my first Adder of 2018 turned out to be two Adders. A recent visit to Portland. Unfortunately this non-native species appears to prosper at the expense of native lizards. They tend to return to the scene of past crimes so despite the frequent disappearing acts, a few photographs were possible with patience.

Today or rather this morning our group met at Alners Gorse, this has to be one of the best Butterfly Conservation Reserves in Dorset or possible the South of England. Our targets were Hairstreaks but we were out to see as many butterfly species this reserve had to offer. Male Southern Hawker Aeshna cyanea. Continuing on and keeping a keen eye on the tree tops three or four other small butterflies wer.

Denne blog er en del af undervisningen. Tjoo, sådan ser det så ud indtil. Prøver lidt endnu, men tror bare,. Det kommer til at ligne en STOR klat. Og det er mega svært at lave. Arh, det driller! Min datter synes det er pænt. Her kan skoven ses fra den anden side af søen.
Da vi sidst sad og tegnede mønter med blyanter, fik jeg idéen om at det også burde kunne lade sig gøre med barket på træerne i min biotop. Kan i genkende træerne? Det øverste træ er et piletræ. Og det nederste er barken på en eg.
Det var interesant at se på så mange gamle træer. For at skaffe et fantasifuld kunstværk har man ikke behov for farver eller papir. Alle disse ting finder man i naturen. Man skal bare åbne øjne og tage sig lidt tid. Af ein teglsten og gule blader har jeg lavet en grill med pølser på en stok.
Efter nogle dages søgen uden held dukke pludselig en halvstor og livlig edderkop op bag vores store bogreol i stuen. Der stod et gammelt billede op ad væggen og her havde den lavet sit skjul. Nu skulle vi lige finde en stor tændstikæske til at fange edderkoppen i, den skulle jo nødig komme til skade under jagten.
